Volunteering builds teams, strengthens community, and helps MYGS thrive
Volunteering
We believe that our organization is strongest when families are actively involved. That’s why we require each family to complete four (4) volunteer (DIBs) hours per registered child as part of their softball season. These hours help ensure that our leagues, tournaments, and events run smoothly—from helping in the concession stand and assisting with field prep, to scorekeeping and supporting fundraisers. With the number of players and games we host each year, MYGS depends on the dedication of our families to keep the program running efficiently and to create a fun, supportive environment for every athlete.
We also recognize the time and commitment it takes to coach, which is why the DIBs requirement is waived for families whose parent(s) volunteer to coach—whether it’s a Travel Team or City League Team. Coaching is one of the most meaningful ways to contribute to our players’ growth and to the success of MYGS as a whole. Volunteering, in any form, strengthens our community, keeps registration costs affordable, and allows us to continue improving facilities and programs. We are deeply grateful to every parent who gives their time, both on and off the field, to make MYGS possible. Your support helps build not only skilled athletes but also a community that values teamwork, dedication, and pride in the game.
DIBs opportunities will be posted as we get closer to the start of the 2026 season.
