Upcoming MYGS Coach’s Meeting & Player Draft – Sunday, March 16th
Attention MYGS Coaches and Volunteers! Our Coach’s Meeting and Player Draft will take place on Sunday, March 16th, at City Hall in Mosinee. Coaches that volunteered to help during the 2025 season will be contacted during the week of March 10th with more information.
This meeting is essential for all head coaches and assistant coaches as we prepare for the upcoming 2025 City League season.
Meeting Agenda:
✅ Coach’s Responsibilities & Expectations – Review league rules, practice schedules, and game formats.
✅ Background Checks & Training – All coaches must complete their USA Softball background checks and SafeSport certification. Information on how to complete these will be provided in the email confirmation which you will receive during the week of March 10th.
✅ Team Assignments & Draft Process – Coaches will select players and finalize rosters for the Rookies, Minors, and Majors divisions.
✅ Equipment & Uniforms – Overview of what will be provided to each team, along with uniform distribution details.
✅ Practice & Game Scheduling – Field assignments, practice availability, and game scheduling discussions.
✅ Q&A Session – Time for coaches to ask questions and discuss any concerns before the season starts.
Player Draft Details:
- Teams will be selected for Rookies, Minors, and Majors divisions.
- We will follow a structured draft process to ensure balanced teams.
- Coaches will receive rosters and contact information after the draft is finalized.
This meeting is mandatory for all head coaches. Assistant coaches are encouraged to attend. If you cannot make it, please notify the board as soon as possible.
