Travel League
Our Travel Softball Leagues are a competitive extension of Mosinee Youth Girls Softball, offering players the opportunity to develop their skills beyond the local City League.
Travel teams compete in weekend tournaments throughout Central Wisconsin and neighboring regions, focusing on teamwork, sportsmanship, and player growth. Designed for athletes who are ready for a higher level of play, they provide a fun, challenging, and supportive environment that helps each player reach her full potential—on and off the field.
Mayhem
The Mayhem Travel Softball League is the competitive branch of Mosinee Youth Girls Softball (MYGS), designed for 8u, 10u and 12u players who are ready to take their skills to the next level. Mayhem teams compete in area tournaments throughout central Wisconsin and beyond, focusing on player development, teamwork, and a love for the game. Our dedicated coaches emphasize fundamentals, game strategy, and sportsmanship, helping players grow both on and off the field. Our Mayhem teams provides a fun yet challenging environment for athletes seeking higher-level competition and the opportunity to represent Mosinee with pride.
Chaos
The Chaos 14U Softball Team is part of the MYGS travel program and serves as the next step for players advancing from our Mayhem division. Competing in regional USA Softball tournaments, the Chaos team focuses on refining advanced skills, developing leadership, and preparing athletes for high school-level play. With a commitment to teamwork, discipline, and continuous improvement, Chaos offers players a competitive, supportive, and empowering environment to push their limits and build lasting confidence on the diamond.
Ages
Mayhem and Chaos are open to players ages 8 through 14, with teams divided into 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U divisions based on USA Softball age guidelines.
When
The travel softball season typically runs from April (practices only) through August, but schedules are largely determined by each individual coach.
Where
MYGS Travel teams have access to all city softball fields in Mosinee, as well as indoor gym facilities at Mosinee High School, Middle School, and Elementary School for year-round training opportunities.
Practices
Teams typically practice one to two times per week leading up to each tournament, with additional practices scheduled periodically at the discretion of the coaches.
Games
Mayhem and Chaos teams typically compete in four to six tournaments each summer, though the exact number may vary based on each coach’s schedule, team readiness, and tournament availability.
Uniforms
Each MYGS Mayhem and Chaos player will receive an official team jersey as part of their registration. This jersey is theirs to keep at the end of the season.
Beginning with the 2026 season, families will have the option to reuse their player’s jersey from a previous year instead of purchasing a new one. Choosing this option will result in a reduced registration fee.
Please remember that players are required to wear their official team jersey for all tournaments to ensure a consistent and professional team appearance.
Items not included and required to be supplied by the player include: pants, socks, belts, face masks, cleats, and warm-up jackets.
Extra Costs
In addition to the registration fee, families should anticipate additional expenses associated with participating on an MYGS travel team. These may include travel costs such as gas, lodging, and meals, and optional team apparel like warmup jackets or spirit wear. Players are also responsible for providing their own softball pants, socks, belts, cleats, and face masks.
MYGS strives to be as transparent as possible with all registration and team-related costs, ensuring families understand where their fees go and what additional expenses may arise throughout the season. Our goal is to make participation accessible and affordable, while providing a quality travel softball experience for every player.
