Field and Equipment Rules
All players must wear the team t-shirt issued by the league.
Coats are allowed over uniforms if the weather requires.
Shoes with metal spikes are not allowed.
Facemasks are required for all defensive players—no exceptions.
Game Operations
Home team is responsible for the scoreboard remote.
Early games must clean up their dugouts; late games must clean up dugouts, stands, and surrounding field areas. Coaches are responsible for ensuring this happens.
No infield or batting practice on the infield before the game (practice allowed in foul territory).
Batting Rules
Round robin batting order is used.
If a player is injured and cannot continue, she may be skipped or replaced by the last out.
Batters are out if hit by a batted ball in fair territory while off base.
Coaching and Interference
If the ball hits a coach before being touched by a defensive player, it is a dead ball.
No coaching allowed from behind home plate or between the dugout and home plate.
Coaches must encourage proper throwing technique—rolling the ball is not allowed and results in the runner being called safe.
Fielding Rules
Players can switch defensive positions between at-bats.
All players play defense; extras are positioned in the outfield.
Minimum number of players to start a game: 5 for Rookies and Minors, 7 for Majors.
Base Running
Base runners hit by a batted ball while not on a base are out.
Facilitated base advancement (e.g., no stealing in Rookies and Minors, limited in Majors).
Overhand throws encouraged; rolling throws discouraged.
Safety Emphasis
Sliding is encouraged when necessary to avoid collisions.
Catchers (if used) must be replaced with a courtesy runner if there are two outs.
